Hello world
I thought it was about time to setup a place to capture some thoughts, as well as those little one liners that seem to take ages to find but make all the difference.
It would have been too easy to go with a hosted blog option (and also provided limited learning opportunities), so instead I thought I'd spin one up myself.
This involved a tour through Vagrant, Centos (and SELinux), Ghost (and themes), Nginx, AWS (via Digital Ocean), Disqus, Google Analytics and New Relic. It's amazing what is readily available out there for use these days to make your life easier.
If you want to build one for yourself, I've captured the Vagrant configuration in a project on GitHub that will allow you to easily spin up a Ghost blogging server. I'll explain the project a bit more in a future post.
For now, "Hello World"!
